SLFK 30: Matthew 6:24

We get to choose our master.  We can let the things we have be in charge of us or we can let Jesus be in charge of us.

We shouldn't waste our time getting treasures that don't last.  We can live our lives right now for the things that will last forever.

If we could hear the voice of the Lord more clearly I wonder how often we would hear Him respond to our requests with the words, "You don't now what you're asking!".  If you are struggling with God's will or if you have been praying for something and He not answering in the way you want Him to, consider the possibility that you don't know and rest in the knowledge that He does.

Jesus works miracles!

When Jesus looked at the rich young man He loved Him. There is a look of love. And it's the way Jesus looks at you.

What kind of things cause Jesus to get upset?  When His disciples hindered His children from coming to Him, Jesus became indignant. It is a really big deal to Jesus that nothing hinders our access to Him!

Sometimes we are not sure what to say to God.  But He likes to hear all kinds of prayers!

It's ok if you can't pray fancy prayers! Just talk to God in your own words and He will listen to you!

We can do heroic things in the name of God that He never asked us to do.  But God delights in our simple, loving obedience!

Next time you do something good don't brag about it. Just know that God saw you do it!
